Yingyao Hu Named Krieger-Eisenhower Professor of Economics

Yingyao Hu, a faculty member of the Economics Department since 2007, has been awarded a named professorship, becoming the Krieger-Eisenhower Professor of Economics at Johns Hopkins. Professor Hu has made fundamental contributions to econometrics, industrial organization, and labor economics. Those contributions include the establishment of nonparametric identification of measurement error models and identification of dynamic models with unobserved state variables, both of which have seen many applications. He has worked more generally in identification in models with latent variables as well as in many other applied areas. He has a distinguished publication record in the leading journals in the discipline.  The Economics Department congratulates him on this honor.
