The Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland seeks faculty candidates beginning in Fall 2026. We invite faculty for all ranks and all areas of specialization and will likely prioritize candidates for two endowed positions
- the Aronson Family Professorship in Economics seeks applicants with expertise in healthcare economics and healthcare policy, or the economics of cities
- the Steven M. Kaye Professor of Economics will prioritize applicants whose research focuses on health economics, urban economics, the economics of inequality, labor economics, or public economics more generally.
All appointees at the Associate and Full Professor level are expected to be preeminent experts in their field, while appointees at the Assistant Professor level should be on the trajectory to become leaders in their fields.
