Jonathan Elliott is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests are in empirical industrial organization and environmental economics. In his work, he studies how market structure affects firms' choices of technologies, the amount of investment, the quality and reliability of output, and prices. He investigates how changes in regulation may improve these outcomes in the contexts of electricity and telecommunications markets. Professor Elliott received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and his PhD from New York University.
