Graduate Students Mateo Velásquez-Giraldo and Matthew Zahn have been awarded NBER fellowships

Mateo Velásquez-Giraldo and Matthew Zahn, graduate students in the department, have been awarded National Bureau of Economic Research dissertation fellowships for the academic year 2022-2023.

Mateo is studying how survey measures of macroeconomic beliefs can help explain life-cycle consumption and portfolio decisions under the Behavioral Macroeconomics research group. 

Matthew is examining how competition between payers and providers in healthcare markets affects health outcomes under the Aging and Health research group.
