Prof. Naoyuki Yoshino (PhD’79) receives the International Green Finance Lifetime Achievement Scientific Award

The Central Bank of Hungary presented the Award to Prof. Yoshino in recognition of his breakthrough achievements and transformative career in the field of green finance. The ceremony took place in Budapest, Hungary on December 1, 2021.

Prof. Yoshino received his PhD in Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 1979. His thesis was supervised by Alan Walters, Carl Christ and Louis Maccini. He is Professor Emeritus at Keio University, Tokyo, Japan, and the director of Financial Research Center at Financial Services Agency, Government of Japan. He has held many distinguished visiting positions, including those at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of New South Wales (Australia), Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques (France), and University of Gothenburg (Sweden).
