Faculty Position in Economic Theory

The Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position. We seek applicants whose research focuses mainly on economic theory and who can demonstrate an interest in problems related to mechanism/market design. Candidates must show promise of outstanding scholarly achievement and either have a Ph.D. or expect to receive a Ph.D. within the first year of appointment.

Faculty Position in Financial Economics

The Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position. We seek applicants whose research focuses on finance, especially those whose research critically engages the intersection of finance with other subfields such as industrial organization, applied microeconomics, and/or household behavior. Applicants at the tenuretrack level should be relatively advanced, at least two years beyond the PhD. They should demonstrate promise of becoming an outstanding scholar. Applicants at the tenured level should have a record of outstanding research and teaching.
